Free Logo Setup

To qualify for a free setup, your logo must be received in a format that we can use for engraving.  We require vector format artwork for engraving.  Vector files are usually .EPS format and are created by a graphic designer using lines and points.  Bitmap files that are "resaved" as .EPS files are not vector files.  When we receive your artwork, it will be reviewed by our art department to determine if it is vector art.  If it is not, we can help but additional charges apply.

How Do Vector and Bitmap files differ?

Bitmap images are made of pixels. A pixel is a single point or the smallest single element in a display device.  Vector images are mathematical calculations from one point to another that form geometrical shapes.  When you zoom in on a bitmap image, it appears fuzzy.  When you zoom in on a vector image, it remains clear and crisp.  Common files types for bitmap images are:  .JPG, .PNG, .PDF, .BMP, .GIF, .TIF, .DOC, .DOCX, .PPT, and .PPTX.  Vector files can be .EPS, .AI, .CDR, .PDF, .DXF, and .WMF.

What Can I Do If I Only Have a Bitmap File?

Our experienced graphic designers can create vector artwork for you from your bitmap file.  Basically, we load your bitmap image into our drawing program and use points and lines to trace over your logo and recreate it exactly.  It is time consuming but worth it, because it results in artwork that can be engraved.  Most logos can be processed for $30 and within 24 hours.  If your logo is very complex and will take longer than normal, we will let you know before proceeding.

When you check out, you will have the option on most products to Add A Logo.  Choose the option that says:  "Add A Logo - Bitmap art - $30 setup" and we'll take it from there.
